Beauty and safety can be achieved with Mobility+Design
This zero entry shower was created during a new build home. Zero or “no-step” entries are critical in a modified home to anticipate or accommodate the need for a walker or wheel chair.
This client had limited mobility and fatigue concerns. The bidet provides hygiene with minimal effort and the grab bar is situated for optimal reach for increased safety transferring on and off the toilet.
This new build shower was safely designed with the contractor to include a handheld shower, proper grab bar placement and shower bench.
The kitchen is one of the most important rooms in the home. When working with clients who use wheelchairs, floor space and counter height are imperative to consider. This custom designed island is meant to act as a seated work station for the client to combat fatigue, but also to provide a roll-up counter when the client’s disease progresses and a wheelchair is used.
